Dear Friends:

The 65th Annual Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade on McLean Avenue will take place on Saturday,March 21, 2020, at 1p.m. The Parade Committee is proud to announce that Patricia Donovan McCrudden, an essential member of the Parade Committee for decades, is the 2020 Grand Marshal.

Pat is the only child of Jean (Sealander) and Lewis Donovan, whose roots were Dublin and Cork. She graduated from Hastings High, and earned a BBA from St. Lawrence University, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Pat married Larry McCrudden in 1965. While raising their 3 children, Jean, Nancy and Larry Jr., she earned Paralegal Certification. Pat is retired from Bleakley, Platt & Schmidt where she served as an Estates and Trusts Paralegal. Grandmother to 7, Pat has long advocated for children. She was Board Member for Northern Ireland Children’s Enterprise and hosted several children through the Irish Children’s Summer Program. She served on the Board of the March of Dimes and as City Chair for its Mothers March. She and Larry established “The Great Birthday Caper”, providing gifts to children and teens for over 25 years. At Christ the King Parish, she was instrumental in the creation of the Msgr. Foley Scholarship Trust Fund. She is a parishioner of Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart and Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s Hospital. Pat has been recognized by several groups including the Yonkers Mayor’s Community Relations Committee, Chamber of Commerce, and the Westchester County Senior Hall of Fame. For close to 60 years, Pat has served our Parade in many vital capacities, out front and behind the scenes. We are grateful and delighted to recognize her service.

The Annual Dinner Dance and Changing of the Sash will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020, 7:00p.m at Castle Royale, 92 Waverly St., Yonkers. The Grand Marshal and Aides will be introduced, and Caitriona Clarke, the 2019 Grand Marshal will transfer the sash to Patricia McCrudden. Reservations are $100 per person, and include a full seated dinner, and open bar. Guss Hayes Band will entertain, and traditional Irish Dancers will perform. The Program and Dinner begin promptly at 7:00p.m.

Please print and fill the reservation card by February 28, 2020, indicating the names of those with whom you wish to be seated. Table assignments are on a first-paid basis, so make reservations early.

As you know, the Annual Dinner Dance and Parade Journal provide the majority of funds needed to run the Parade. All funds come from loyal supporters. We do not accept State or Federal subsidies and are extremely grateful to the City of Yonkers who provides Police, Recreation and DPW services.
